Growing up in Edmonton, Adam went on to play in the WHL for the Tri-City Americans and Medicine Hat Tigers before sustaining a concussion that forced him out of the game for 2 years. Eventually, Adam made his way back to playing and spent 5 years with the University of Calgary while completing his BSc. in Biomechanics. Adam then took his knowledge of the human body and his passion for hockey and channelled it into coaching, specifically skating and skill development. Adam has gone on to work with Stanley Cup Champions, World Junior Champions, Olympic Gold Medalists, and hundreds of other players around the world.
Before moving out to Mississauga, ON, where he currently resides, Adam spent 2 seasons as an assistant coach with his alma mater, the University of Calgary Dinos, and is now an assistant coach with Toronto of the PWHA.
When he’s not in the rink, you can find Adam fly fishing, golfing, cycling or spending time with family. He’s excited for the opportunity to join the 44 Vision team and learn from the other amazing coaches that are part of family!

Testimonials for Adam Redmond
“Adam is a big reason for the way I approach the game today and has had a huge impact on my hockey career. He is involved in hockey for all the right reasons which is evident with his genuine care about your success on the ice and as a person. Three things I have taken from Adam in my career are the way I view statistics, measured and unmeasured, the importance of skill work and edgework on both sides of the puck, that goes beyond just stick handling, and lastly to have a purpose with each time you touch the ice. I’ve worked with several skill coaches but with Adam, I found a difference in the 1 on 1 interaction and how he broke the game down into situations that could be worked on. Adam is someone I would love to work with again and I cannot say enough for what he’s done for my career.”
SML Champion (Gap, France), Current Player for Amiens (SML), Former University of Calgary Dino’s Captain
“I’ve worked with Adam for close to 5 years now and he has a unique ability to engage players through his stories to draw your attention to specific areas of your game that will help you improve immediately. He’s extremely knowledgeable, patient, and truly cares about the players he works with. I would definitely recommend working with Adam if you want to improve your game across all 3 zones.”
“My favorite thing about working with Adam is that he is really detailed in his practices and approach to the game which helped me make the most out of every session together. Adam always treated me like a Pro and wanted me to get better every day. If you want to get to the next level, I highly recommend working with Adam.”
