Christian is in his second season with the Lonestar Brahmas (NAHL) as Goaltending Coach, Director of Goaltending for the youth organization, and the Goaltending Development Coordinator for Texas.
AdditChristian is in his second season with the Lonestar Brahmas (NAHL) as Goaltending Coach, Director of Goaltending for the youth organization, and the Goaltending Development Coordinator for Texas.
Some of his responsibilities for the Brahmas include developing their current goaltenders, scouting for future-prospects, and video breakdown and analysis. Christian is also a co-founder C^2 Goaltending, which is run out of the Dallas, Texas Metroplex, focused on developing elite goaltenders with goals of playing professionally.
Before his coaching career, Christian played his junior hockey with the Dubuque Fighting Saints (USHL), winning a Clark Cup in 2012-13. Frey then played at Ohio State, where he achieved Big Ten First or Second team Honors for four consecutive years. Additionally, he earned over 30 Big Ten player of the week awards and multiple school records, such as saves in a game (62) and the longest shutout streak in school history (197 minutes). Post-college, Christian played two years professionally with the Iowa Wild (AHL), Rapid City Rush (ECHL), and the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL).
